Glassdoor job posting cost: job posting price for employers and what you actually pay Indeed
Almost every page ranking for Glassdoor job posting cost quotes a price for a product that has not been on sale since 2020. Glassdoor stopped taking resubscriptions to Job Slots in September 2020, and on July 1, 2026 Glassdoor LLC legally merged into Indeed, Inc. Your Glassdoor posting cost is your Indeed cost.

The short answer
Glassdoor job posting cost is not a separate number, because Glassdoor no longer sells a standalone job post. Since a 2020 partnership, jobs reach Glassdoor through Indeed rather than through Glassdoor, and on July 1, 2026 Glassdoor LLC legally merged into Indeed, Inc. under Recruit Holdings. So the practical price of a Glassdoor listing is whatever your Indeed job costs: $0 inside the published allowance of three free Indeed posts a month, or a reported minimum near $25 a day per sponsored job, which is roughly $750 for a full 30 day run. What Glassdoor does still sell employers is branding: profile and review products reported in procurement data at $10,000 to $100,000 or more a year, quoted by a salesperson and priced by company size. A 30 day marketing post on MarketerJob is a published flat $199.

The three price tiers
How Glassdoor actually charges for a job post
These are three different products, not three sizes of the same one. A free listing, an advertising auction and a rented posting seat produce very different invoices, and picking the wrong one is the most common way employers overspend on a single marketing hire.
Your job on Glassdoor, via Indeed
$0, or your Indeed sponsored budget
Billed by Indeed, never by Glassdoor
This is the only way a marketing role gets onto Glassdoor today. You post the job on Indeed and it is carried across to Glassdoor on a shared feed, with no separate Glassdoor setup, invoice or line item. Indeed publishes an allowance of up to three free jobs a month, each live up to 30 days, and sells sponsorship on an auction with a reported minimum near $25 a day per job.
The catch: Read the syndication promise carefully. The 2020 partnership Glassdoor announced was worded around sponsoring a job on Indeed, and later coverage describes posting on Indeed as syndicating to Glassdoor generally. The two claims are not the same, and no rate card settles it. If Glassdoor visibility is the reason you are buying, sponsor the Indeed job rather than assuming a free post carries across.
Employer branding and profile products
Reported $10,000 to $100,000+ a year
Annual contract, quoted by a salesperson
This is what Glassdoor actually sells employers now. Branded profile content, review response tools, competitor and analytics access, sold as an annual subscription priced on company size and the bundle you take. Independent procurement trackers report a $10,000 to $100,000 or more annual band, with employer branding contracts commonly reported at $15,000 to $50,000. Buyers taking multi year terms report per unit pricing well below the opening quote.
The catch: None of it advertises a job. Branding changes what a candidate reads about you after they have already found the role, so it lifts the acceptance end of the funnel rather than the applicant end. Buying it to fill one marketing manager opening is the wrong instrument at roughly fifty times the price.
Glassdoor Job Slots
Withdrawn from sale
Not available to new or returning buyers
The per slot subscription that most articles about Glassdoor job posting cost are still describing. Glassdoor closed it to resubscription in September 2020 when the Indeed job partnership began, and it has not returned in the six years since.
The catch: The pricing pages quoting Glassdoor slot costs today are quoting a retired product. That is the single biggest reason employers budget a Glassdoor line item that no vendor will invoice them for, then find the spend sitting on their Indeed account instead.
Priced by situation
What Glassdoor costs for a real hiring situation, August 2026
Only the MarketerJob column is a published rate card. Every Glassdoor figure here is either what Glassdoor publishes as its own example or what independent US pricing trackers and employers report paying, because there is no public price list to quote. Use these to judge whether the quote in front of you is normal, then confirm inside your own account.
| Your situation | Glassdoor, reported | MarketerJob, published | What drives it |
|---|---|---|---|
| One marketing role, free Indeed post | $0 | $199 for 30 days | Inside the published three free Indeed posts a month. Whether it carries to Glassdoor is the unsettled part: the original partnership wording was about sponsored jobs. |
| One role, sponsored so Glassdoor is certain | About $750 for 30 days | $199 for 30 days | Reported $25 a day Indeed floor since July 2025, run a full month. This is the real answer to what a Glassdoor listing costs. |
| You want a Glassdoor only job post | Cannot be bought | $199 for 30 days | There is no product to buy. Glassdoor takes no direct job postings and has not sold slots since 2020. |
| Fixing a weak Glassdoor rating first | Reported $10,000 to $100,000+ | Not offered | Employer branding is an annual contract, not a posting fee. Worth pricing only if reviews are visibly costing you offers. |
| Three marketing roles open at once | $0, or about $2,250 sponsored | $597, or $999 unlimited | Three separate Indeed daily budgets, not one shared one. The free allowance covers three concurrent roles at $0. |
| Hiring continuously through the year | Reported $600 to $1,200 a month | $999 a month unlimited | Reported typical midsize Indeed spend. Glassdoor adds nothing to that bill and nothing to your control over it. |
Glassdoor is the one major US platform where the honest answer to what does a job post cost is that you cannot buy one. Every other board on this site sells you a listing. Glassdoor sells you a reputation, and routes the listing through Indeed. The full picture across every US platform sits on job posting cost by platform, the flat rate case against this one is on our Glassdoor alternative page, and all thirteen platforms are compared side by side on where to post a marketing role.
Read the meter
Four billing details that decide your final Glassdoor invoice
The headline daily budget is the number every comparison page quotes. These four mechanics are what actually determine what lands on the card, and they are the ones employers tell us caught them out.
Glassdoor will never invoice you for a job post
There is no Glassdoor posting invoice to reconcile, because there is no Glassdoor posting product. The charge lands on the Indeed account, on Indeed billing rules: invoiced on the first of the month for the previous month, or as soon as the account balance reaches $500, whichever comes first. Budget the Glassdoor line as an Indeed line or it will not match your statement.
The merger is legally complete, not just operational
Glassdoor LLC merged into Indeed, Inc. on July 1, 2026, closing five years of gradual integration that began with the 2020 job partnership. Recruit Holdings kept the Glassdoor brand, product and anonymous reviews running, but Glassdoor now operates under Indeed legal terms and privacy policies rather than its own. Any procurement paperwork naming Glassdoor as the contracting entity needs rechecking.
You sign in with Indeed now
New Glassdoor users have had to sign in with an Indeed account since November 2025, and existing users were given until April 20, 2026 to link accounts or lose full access. If your Glassdoor employer login stopped working this year, that is why, and the fix is account linking rather than a support ticket about billing.
Free and sponsored are not interchangeable here
Indeed free posts and Indeed sponsored jobs are different products with different distribution, and the Glassdoor partnership was announced in terms of sponsoring. Nobody publishes a rate card settling whether a free Indeed post reaches Glassdoor today. If a hiring manager is counting on Glassdoor traffic, sponsor the job and treat any free carry across as a bonus.
An honest read
When paying Glassdoor is worth it, and when it is not
We sell job posts, so treat this section with the scepticism it deserves and check it against your own last three searches. Three of these six say do not spend the money, because on the wrong role that is the correct answer.
Worth paying for
Your reviews and pay data already sell the job
Glassdoor audiences arrive having read your rating, your salary ranges and your interview reports. If those are genuinely good, the platform converts better than its traffic share suggests, and it costs you nothing extra on top of the Indeed post you were placing anyway.
Worth paying for
You were already sponsoring on Indeed
The Glassdoor reach is included. There is no upsell, no second budget and no separate account to manage, which makes it the cheapest incremental distribution in US job advertising: a second major audience for zero extra dollars.
Worth paying for
Reviews are actively costing you offers
If candidates are dropping out late and citing what they read, the branding products address a real problem. Price it as reputation repair against your offer acceptance rate, not against a posting budget. US offer acceptance runs about 75%, so a few points recovered on a senior search pays for a lot of contract.
Save your money
You wanted a Glassdoor only listing
It does not exist at any price. If a vendor, agency or article offers to sell you one, they are reselling an Indeed sponsored job or quoting a product retired in 2020.
Save your money
You need the number before you commit
Both live Glassdoor paths are unquotable in advance: the listing rides an Indeed auction with no rate card, and the branding contract is priced by a salesperson from your company size. A published flat rate answers a finance question that neither of these can.
Save your money
The role is a specialist marketing discipline
Glassdoor inherits Indeed reach and Indeed unfiltered applicant flow. US postings averaged 95 applicants each in 2025, up from about 46 in 2021, and on a lifecycle, technical SEO or marketing ops role the screening hours cost more than the advertising did.

The published alternative: one price, marketing roles only
MarketerJob lists marketing roles and nothing else, every card carries a USD salary band, and the price is on the site rather than behind a consultation. That is the whole trade against an auction: less reach, more certainty, and an audience that all does the job you are hiring for.
$199
One marketing role, live for 30 days, no auction running behind it.
$399
Featured placement, specialty spotlight and matched subscriber email.
$999
Unlimited active roles per month, for teams hiring continuously.
Frequently asked
Glassdoor job posting cost questions employers actually search
How much does it cost to post a job on Glassdoor?
Nothing directly, because Glassdoor does not sell job posts. Jobs reach Glassdoor through Indeed, so your cost is your Indeed cost: $0 inside the published allowance of three free Indeed posts a month, or a reported minimum near $25 a day to sponsor, about $750 for a 30 day run.
Is Glassdoor free to post jobs?
There is no Glassdoor posting product to be free or paid. What is free is the Indeed side: Indeed publishes an allowance of up to three free job posts a month, each live up to 30 days. The unsettled question is whether a free Indeed post carries to Glassdoor, since the original partnership was announced around sponsored jobs.
Does Glassdoor charge to post jobs?
Glassdoor charges you nothing to post, and cannot, because it takes no direct job postings. Any charge you see connected to a Glassdoor listing is an Indeed advertising charge. Glassdoor bills employers only for branding and profile products, which are annual contracts rather than posting fees.
What is the Glassdoor job posting price for employers?
There is no published Glassdoor job posting price and no product it would attach to. The employer price for a Glassdoor listing equals the Indeed sponsored budget behind it, with a reported floor near $25 a day per job. Glassdoor branding contracts are reported separately at $10,000 to $100,000 or more a year.
How do I post a job on Glassdoor?
You post it on Indeed. Since the 2020 partnership, jobs reach Glassdoor on a shared feed rather than through a Glassdoor posting form, and updates you make on Indeed carry across. Since November 2025 new Glassdoor accounts sign in with Indeed credentials, and existing accounts had to be linked by April 20, 2026.
Why did Glassdoor stop selling job postings?
Recruit Holdings owns both companies and consolidated the duplicated product. Glassdoor closed Job Slots to resubscription in September 2020 alongside the Indeed job partnership, cut about 1,300 roles across the two brands in July 2025, and completed the legal merger of Glassdoor LLC into Indeed, Inc. on July 1, 2026.
Are Glassdoor and Indeed the same company?
Yes. Both are Recruit Holdings companies, and as of July 1, 2026 Glassdoor LLC is legally merged into Indeed, Inc. The Glassdoor brand, product and anonymous reviews continue to run, but under Indeed legal terms and privacy policies, with shared sign in across both sites.
Do jobs posted on Indeed automatically appear on Glassdoor?
They travel on a shared feed, and updates made on Indeed are reflected on Glassdoor. What is not settled publicly is whether that covers free posts as well as sponsored ones, because Glassdoor announced the partnership in terms of sponsoring a job on Indeed. Sponsor the job if Glassdoor reach is the point.
How much does Glassdoor cost for employers per year?
Only the branding products carry an annual price, and Glassdoor publishes none. Independent procurement trackers report $10,000 to $100,000 or more a year depending on company size and bundle, with employer branding contracts commonly reported at $15,000 to $50,000 and multi year terms reported well below opening quotes.
What happened to Glassdoor Job Slots?
Glassdoor stopped letting companies resubscribe to Job Slots in September 2020, when sponsoring a job on Indeed began placing it on Glassdoor too. The product has not returned. Pricing pages still quoting Glassdoor slot costs are describing something no employer has been able to buy for six years.
Is a Glassdoor job posting worth it for a marketing role?
It is worth it exactly to the extent your Indeed sponsorship is, since that is what pays for it. The Glassdoor audience is unusually well informed about pay and culture, which helps if your reviews are strong and hurts if they are not. It adds reach, not filtering.
What is cheaper than sponsoring on Indeed for a marketing job?
A flat rate specialist board. Thirty days sponsored at the reported $25 daily floor is roughly $750 against a published flat $199 for a 30 day marketing post here. The difference is not only the money, it is that one number is quotable to finance in advance and the other is an auction.
How to read the figures on this page: only the MarketerJob prices are a published rate card. Glassdoor publishes no price list for job posts, so every figure attached to it here is either Glassdoor own worked example from its pricing page or what independent US pricing trackers and employers report paying, checked in August 2026. Auction rates move weekly and contract quotes move by industry, location, company size and how many slots you buy. Verify inside your own account before you commit a budget. Glassdoor is a trademark of its owner and is referenced here only for comparison.
Know the number before you spend it.
An auction cannot tell you what a hire will cost until it is over. A 30 day marketing post here is $199 flat, with a salary band on every card and no invoice threshold running in the background.
